The blanket ban on developing land in the Green Belt is actually a serious problem for this country and the Conservatives need to look at this issue carefully.Letters From A Toryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14612766550608940053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8149296713213520917.post-35970300492366934662008-07-17T09:14:00.000+01:002008-07-17T09:14:00.000+01:00PMQ summed it up yesterday - wouldn't answer a str...PMQ summed it up yesterday - wouldn't answer a straight question. One of the cons already perpetrated was to designate back gardens as "brownfield" so that they could be built on without much fuss. Boris quoted stats on the result of that one during his mayoral election campaign.

This forcing of a Regional Plan onto local planning authorities is another con. In this particular instance, it will be blamed on those who devised the East of England Plan for this threat to Green Belt land, not the Government (who always make sure they can blame someone else, as we well know!)

However, that Plan would have been agreed with/by the Government Office for the East of England, and in accordance with stipulations (including housing quotas and densities) imposed from central gov't.John M Wardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06251285057595626917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8149296713213520917.post-50234716173945475242008-07-16T23:17:00.000+01:002008-07-16T23:17:00.000+01:00If they are lucky. If they are lucky.Daily Referendumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00899003349232334603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8149296713213520917.post-28035810760049927682008-07-16T23:11:00.000+01:002008-07-16T23:11:00.000+01:00How many Labour seats at the next election?4?How many Labour seats at the next election?

4?Jeremy Jacobshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02014279463894807064noreply@blogger.com
