Professors Paul Hardaker and Chris Collier, both Royal Meteorological Society figures, are voicing their concern that their peers are "overplaying" the global warming message. The pair will present a pamphlet called Making Sense of the Weather and Climate in a conference on the subject to be held tonight in the Garden Quadrangle Auditorium at St John's College, Oxford.
Professor Collier, the former president of the Royal Meteorological Society, has voiced concerns that the real risks posed by global warming are being undermined by peers making premature claims. Professor Collier said: "I think there is a good chance of that, we must guard against that - it would be very damaging. "I've no doubt that global warming is occurring, but we don't want to undermine that case by crying wolf."
Professor Hardaker, the Royal Meteorological Society's Chief Executive supported Professor Collier saying: "Organisations have been guilty of overplaying the message, there's no evidence to show we're all due for very short-term devastating impacts as a result of global warming; so I think these statements can be dangerous where you mix in the science with unscientific assumptions."

Look forward to hearing about this.
Steve, as was shown in my post [which linked to others] is that there IS no debate - of course the bloody thing is happening - I even posted a photo of it happening.
As for the C4 garbage programme, it was thoroughly debunked at Ellee's.
Apart from that, hope you're doing fine, my old son and having a nice non-climate-change Sunday.
