Eight Ramdom Facts

I've been Tagged by the Spicy Cauldron

I have to post these rules: one, each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. Two, people who are tagged need to write their own blog entry about their eight things and post these rules. Three, at the end of your entry, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names/pseudonyms/blogs. Four, don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1) I joined the Royal Navy at sixteen, before I had officially left school.

2) I recently joined the Conservative party after being a life long Labour voter.

3) I read at least three books per week.

4) I did not take my driving test until I was thirty two.

5) I was brought up in Barnsley S Yorks but would never go back.

6) I have had a few technical manuals for warships published.

7) I would love to live in Dublin for a year.

8) I would like all kids to grow up in the relative innocence of the 1970's of my childhood (Mary Whitehouse was right all along).

I Tag (and I'm sorry): Theo Spark, Rouge Gunner, James Cleverly, Jeremy Jacobs, Big Chip Dale, Shades of Grey, The Last Boy Scout and kris-stoke-newington

Mary Whitehouse... No, no, no! You cannot be serious! Can you? Okay. Hmm. That one bears further blogging if you really believe that... The woman saw more nasties and porn in her life than most people but wanted to stop others having the right to make up their own minds as she did (often before seeing or reading something!). And don't forget she was vehemently anti-gay, anti-anything not Christian. And hey, she was even against 'Doctor Who' you know! :-)

I still haven't learned to drive, and I've just turned 40. Wonder if I ever will now!

Three memes in one morning. Well, that only took a couple of hours out of my day. :)

Thanks for remembering me. And in return, I've tagged you with the meme you didn't send me. (Don't you think this feels like deliberately coughing over somebody?)
