According to the BBC, worldwide demonstrations are planned to take place today in protest against Burma's detention of democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi. They will held in 12 cities, one for each of the 12 years the Nobel Peace Prize winner has spent in detention. Protesters will congregate outside Chinese embassies in the hope that China will put pressure on Burma's junta to release Aung San Suu Kyi. London is to be one of the cities on the protest list. If you are in town and can spare the time, I'm sure they would appreciate your support.

And one piggy eyed man has caused most of the mayhem in the country. Like Saddam and Hitler, it's amazing how much damage one person can do.

It's sad to have to sit back and watch these tragedies unfold.
Just one word from China and the situation could be vastly improved in Burma. Why don't they do anything?
