Gordon Brown is to face attack from Blairites.

Three Labour MPs, Charles Clarke, Stephen Byers and Alan Milburn are to start an attack on Gordon Brown. The story which will run in the Sunday newspapers will be the first step in a campaign by the Blairite MPs. The attack will be in the form of speeches and media interviews which will point to Browns failures since the Labour party conference.

Charlie Falconer, the former Lord Chancellor, today in an article for the Sunday Times online section warns: "Making clear our vision is the challenge for the Labour party now. Because if we rely on experience and our ability to handle crises and do not set out... our vision for the future of the UK, a vision which represents the progressive view of politics, then we will be offering drift not leadership, and the past not the future."

Can things get any worse for Brown? In what has got to be one of the biggest turnarounds in political history, Gordon is very likely to be fighting for his position as leader of the Labour party.

They're not out of order on this, Steve. They most likely are au fait with Gordon's agenda post 2010 and want to get off.

It's sad but true that Labour could have been in a better position had Tony not been pushed.

Beware of more smoke and mirrors here.

These people launched a web site called Vision 20:20 just over a year ago.

20:20 is a Common Purpose course run by Julia Middleton.

it will be one unelected communist regime replaced by another.

Alan Milburn and Charles Clarke.

"Can things get worse?" yes! We have the Lisbon treaty coming up, and any British prime minister leading a disunited party into that must be quaking. Look what happened to John Major after Maastricht and the euro-bastards ...

Thanks Ian, I'll take a look at that.

Elliott,

I almost feel sorry for him.

Almost :)

Interestingly Charlie Falconer is also, and in a totally unconnected issue, negotiating for the size of his pension with Gordon Brown. Things can't be going well....

Man in a shed,

It seems loyalty goes out of the window when money is involved.
