I already knew, my MP is the Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Marine, Landscape and Rural Affairs) and Minister for the South East), Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs aka Jonathan R Shaw. He of course voted to betray his constituents along with the majority of his fellow Labour MP's

Oddly enough his majority is only 2,332 and I suspect it will be a hell of a lot lower possibly into negative figures at the next general election.

QM,

We can only hope. It wouldn't hurt to put a "I wanted a referendum" poster in your window come election time.

Tim Loughton - Unsurprisingly sound on the issue!

As if it were not bad enough, I listened to Shirley William argue her case on Question Time, stating that we should be in support of this new “treaty” because of all the "good" the EU has done, namely in preventing wars. I though I was going to have an aneurysm! It was bad enough that the liberals and New Labour voted against the motion for a referendum, but this comment flies in the face of the facts.

It ist has been NATO that protected us not the EU. But I really should not have been surprised for NATO is the EU’s next target, with their clandestine ambitions to replace this with a Euro force, putting our armed forces eventually under European authority!

Mark my words, the European Union feast is only just starting!

In response to "quiet man" I have slightly negative news, in that constituency boundary changes taking effect at the next General Election mean that the (strongly Conservative-voting) half of my ward that is currently in his Chatham and Aylesford constituency will move out of it, and the strongly-Labour ward of Chatham Central will go into it.

This will make the job of our (excellent!) candidate Tracey Crouch that much harder, to take the seat -- but it can be done!

Impressive lady, that one...

I have Michael Ancrum as my MP. A bit dodgy on his expences, thinking that we should pay for the decoration, but solid in believing that Britian is governed in the best interests of the British people.

I had the pleasure of helping him win Edinburgh South back in 1979 - oh happy days of youth!
