Believe me I'm no fan of Diane Abbott, but by God she gave a fantastic performance during today's debate on 42 days detention. She was passionate, angry and pleading, but most of all she was right. The MP who followed Diane said she gave the best speech he had heard in the house.
Well done Diane.

Its what Parliament should be all about.
The problem is all the decisions seem to get made outside of the chamber away from the debate.
