When I think of Gordon Brown, I'm reminded of the Black Knight from the Holy Grail. The man doesn't know when it's time to quit, even when it is glaringly obvious to everyone else that he should:

Steve, Brown will just cling on like a stubborn clinker simply because:- a) that's what he is and b) he has not the wit, wisdom, intelligence or courage to think or do anything else.
I can't see an effective coup happening mate, they(the party) know they are finished and might as well remain in office for 2 more years with the useless creep, rather than bring forward an election they are certain to lose anyway.
I have been wrong Steve sometimes, like yourself I am interested how this pans out, it is possible that it will gain momentum and support, causing the great cloud of doom and misery to retreat furher into his bunker, I just don't think the party has the "balls" to oust Brown!
