In a speech to delegates at the Scottish Labour conference, Harriet Harman said that they should use the Euro elections as a "dress rehearsal" for the next UK election.
Oh dear, what Harriet has just achieved is to make the Euro elections a vote of confidence on not only Gordon Brown, but also upon herself. If Labour do poorly (and it is highly likely that they will) both she and Gordon will carry the can - Brown for being the leader of the party and herself for being the manager of Labour's Euro election campaign. I suspect Harman has been stitched up (by Brown) with this suicide mission.
UPDATE: I've been thinking. Harman no doubt knows she has been 'done up like a kipper' by Brown. Has she deliberately linked the result of the Euro elections to Gordon Brown and the General election? - "If I'm going down, you're going with me".
