Over the last couple of days there has been a great deal of rumour surrounding Harriet Harman replacing Gordon Brown. Adding to this William Hill have just slashed Harriet's odds to 7/1 (3rd favourite) to become the next permanent leader of the Labour party. Please God don't let it be true. To add to the rumours, Iain Dale has reported that Harriet has been seen having a cosy lunch for two with Jack Straw. David Miliband remains the favourite (7/2) to replace the bumbling Brown and Jack Straw is hanging in as the 6/1 second favourite.
Ladbrokes are a bit slow on the uptake and still have Harriet at 16/1 - could be worth a flutter?
