Tesco has teamed up with the Open University to offer money off its undergraduate tuition fees in exchange Clubcard points. £10 worth of Clubcard points (you need to spend £1000) gives students £40 towards their tuition fees.
The OU vice-chancellor Professor Brenda Gourley said, "The partnership allows the university to extend our reach to new students, we aim to make access to the university's programmes as flexible as possible.
NUS President Gemma Tumelty said: "This move shows the worrying extent to which consumerism is becoming integral to the student experience. People should be choosing where to go based on their educational needs and not costs.”
