The Conservatives are favourites to win the next general election.

Following Tory success in recent opinion polls, the bookmaker William Hill is backing them as favourites to win the next General Election for the first time since Gordon Brown came to power. Hills now make the Conservatives 8/11 favourites with Labour Even money and the Lib Dems 66/1. Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "Labour's fortunes have taken a turn for the worse since Gordon Brown decided not to call a General Election and for the first time they are now no longer favourites to win the next one." Hills also predict bad times ahead for other cabinet members.
