Liam Byrne is one of the many people who believe they are more important than we mere mortals. His excuse for driving whilst on the phone was that he was taking an important call on a deportation matter. Well I say tough, you know the law.
Liam has had to pay a £100 fine, £35 costs and he has been given three points on his licence.
If you are in a position to make laws, you should have the common decency to abide by them yourself.

Odd he didn't get let of - like Harriet Harman was for speeding.
I commented elsewhere, Steve, that a pollie has to be a bleedin' saint to satisfy people.
By the way - love the new blog header - I smell the scent of preselection.
Thanks James,
All the credit goes to Liam Murray for the header. He kindly knocked it up without being asked. Very kind of him indeed.
£2.87 for a phone holder and around a tenner for earphones and he would be legal. I doubt the man has capacity to be a minister.
Robin,
The phone holder was probably in his other Jag.
Man in a shed,
Yes it is surprising that we heard about this at all.
