Wendy Alexander once again refuses to resign.

Talking to the media just before going into a meeting with Labour MSPs Wendy Alexander once again defied calls for her resignation. Wendy said: "I have never sought to mislead. I am not dishonest in any way and I have always believed that politicians should have the highest standards of integrity. "My campaign did not set out to intentionally mislead or brake the rules (LAW). Mistakes have been made. "It would be easy to quit, but also wrong. To give up this job in these circumstances would be also to give up my reputation for integrity and honesty and I am not prepared to do that."

I think that Wendy has given up her "reputation for integrity and honesty" by not resigning.

It's funny how these people call the law "rules". She must go, when she goes, they all go.

yeah i know, its almost as if they don't recognize the law but its some sort of rulebook for politicians that means they dont need to follow the law.

I bet if any of these guys get stopped by the cops, its a case of "do you know who i am". What i don't understand is, that if they have admitted breaking the law, why their butts are not cuffed and dragged off down the local cop shop for questioning. I can assure you thats what would happen to the rest of us.

I think eventually some of them will have to answer to the law. The law has been broken, even Gordon admitted to that.

Will the tories wake up to their fact their spin doctor resigned as editor of a murdoch tabloid, when his employees were found to have bugged the royals family.

DESS,

You have been a pain in the arse all over the blogosphere, don't come here again. Anything you write will have been a waste of your time.

Qw,

That makes Labour innocent then? This was of their own doing, not any Tory spin doctor.

She won't do. Her brother - according to The Times - told her not to. 'We can't force Harriet out, can we, Sis?'

Where are the statesmen and women with honour?

Not in the Labour party.

'brake' the rules/law? I had thought the better sort of scotch people were educated - some were believed honourable as well but then we got socialism in there!
