WILLIAM HILL have cut the odds about Peter Mandelson quitting the cabinet before the General Election from 10/1 to 8/1.
'Punters only want to bet that Mandy's cabinet comeback will be short-lived' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
FOLLOWING his Cabinet re-shuffle, Gordon Brown is now an odds-on chance to lead his Party into the next General Election, with William Hill quoting him at 1/2 to do so, and 6/4 not to. Hills have also lengthened their odds for him to stand down before the end of the year from 4/1 to 5/1.
'Mr Brown has improved his position since the Party Conference and during the financial crisis - but the imminent Glenrothes by-election could prove a looming problem' .
