A real pleasure signing this agreed. Now stands at 534 at 21:15 on 5 Jan 09.

Lets get the word out; we could even reach a million if we try hard enough.

Ha, nice one Steve. I can think of a few more petitions I'd like to see - a petition against the government changing the ONS statistics, a petition against the government hiding important details in the PBR in the smallprint....

If I'm not mistaken, this is actually a very old petition. They usually last for a year and this one only has ten days left. It would be great to co-ordinate one of these properly, from day one. It's not that the government would do what the petition asks; but enough people signing it would create a news story. I'm convinced that road pricing was killed off for a couple of years at least when 2 million people signed a petition against it. It was in the news cycle for at least a couple of days.

I'll be there in a few hours time.

Good spot.

I guess this will put us all on MI5/Bob Quick's enemies of the state list.
