From William Hill:ED MILIBAND has emerged as a potential candidate to succeed Gordon Brown as Labour leader, after William Hill halved his odds of doing so from 12/1 to 6/1 joint second favourite.'Ed's odds have been coming down at almost the same rate as his brother's, the recent favourite, have been lengthening' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills now make Harriet Harman 7/2 favourite to succeed Brown, with both Ed and David Miliband at 6/1; James Purnell 7/1 fourth favourite, ahead of 8/1 shots Ed Balls (who has also been backed recently, down from 10/1); Alan Johnson and Jack Straw. Jon Crudass is a 9/1 shot.

Ed Miliband is worse than his brother. He has also been a embarrassment as a minister.
But personally I hoping for Harriet Harperson - as they'll be in opposition for a decade if they elect her ( assuming the Labour party ever plans to have elections again of course ... )
You'd think that Alan Milburn would be on the bookies lists. He's not dipping his toe in the recession waters for nothing, is he?
Milburn represents a biggish problem for Tories to deal with as he isn't tarnished with the current economic fiasco.
