UPDATE: Gordon Brown now 2/1 to jump or get the push in 2009.

Gordon BrownFrom William Hill:

GORDON BROWN has been backed down from 6/1with William Hill when he took the job over, to 2/1 to cease to be Prime Minister during 2009.

'Punters only want to back the PM to lose office this year' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

And Labour are the longest odds they have been since they came to power in 1997 to win the next General Election, with Hills quoting them at 11/4 with the Conservatives red hot favourites at 1/4, with the Lib Dems 100/1.

If he was the patriot he claims to be he'd get the treasury to put £40billion on that and then resign. Budget deficit sorted. (well a fraction of it anyway)
