William Hill believe that Barack Obama is almost certain to down a pint of Guinness on St. Patrick’s Day and make the US President a 1/10 shot to be pictured drinking a pint of Ireland’s favourite tipple on the 17th of March.
Obama was criticised in certain quarters for having a beer at the Bulls v the Wizards basketball game last month, but William Hill’s Irish spokesman Tony Kenny believes the man dubbed O’Bama in Ireland will stay true to his Irish roots and enjoy a pint of Guinness on Ireland’s national day “The President has already said that he’s proud of his Irish heritage and what better way to show it than drinking a pint of the black stuff on St. Paddy’s Day”
William Hill have also come up with some other O’Bama St. Patrick’s Day specials:
The European bookies offer odds of:
2/1 Obama speaks a sentence in Irish during his press conference with the Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Brian Cowen,
25/1 Obama names his next born either Patrick or Patricia,
100/1 Obama dyes his hair green for St. Patrick’s Day,
1000/1 He confirms his name is O’Bama not Obama,
and (my personal favourite) 10,000/1 Obama confirms the existence of Leprechauns during his first term of office.
