According to Karolina
Slowikowska, reporting for Reuters, Poland's trade unions are calling restrictions on some foreign workers. It's hard to blame them as many Poles working here in the UK and Ireland will be returning home as our economy continues to collapse. But it is a little ironic that a country that is such an exporter of workers, should now be thinking of stopping imports.
Jan
Guz, head of the
OPPZ union said:
'The Polish government should consider limiting the inflow of foreigners because there cannot be wage and employment dumping. 'We are not talking about Germans or other European Union citizens ... We are talking of Ukrainians, Belarussians, Chinese ... Employers tend to pick them because they work for peanuts,'
Hmmm....
