The Economy, Nationalised Banks and Wimmin Bloggers.

I've been relaxing and browsing around the political websites and blogs this morning. In the process I've come across two great articles and one complete load of rubbish. The first of the good two comes from John Redwood's Diary: Who knows how to run a bank or two? John points out that neither Brown or Darling have the faintest idea how to run even a small business, never mind major banking institutions.

The second great article is by Gerald Warner in the blog section of the Telegraph: Gordon Brown's Soviet-style smash and grab of profitable Lloyds TSB . Gerald says: "This is the biggest bank robbery in British history. With the announcement of a de facto 75 per cent Government stake in Lloyds Banking Group, Gordon Brown has nationalised Lloyds TSB, a responsible and profitable bank, by yoking it onto the toxic HBOS. This is the state seizure of a private enterprise such as Aneurin Bevan would never have dreamed of attempting." Read on...

The load of rubbish comes from Gaby Hinsliff of the Guardian Politics Blog: Should we call it the bloke-o-sphere? It's about Wimmin and Blogging, read it for yourself - warning Dolly Draper is involved in this piece of politically correct spin.

What is she going about? Women can often be much nastier than the men. To assume our feminine sensibilities are more prone to being hurt than the men's? What century is she living in? Stupid woman!

Thanks Sue, I glad I'm not the only one who thought she was talking out of her backside.

Her introductory post arguing that women are not getting a fair crack of the whip in the blogosphere......

What utter rubbish. I blog, you blog, he,she or it blogs. If your blog's good enough it attracts readers. If it isn't............

I posted a comment at the Hinsliff item yesterday, which I hope embarrasses her and all who sail in her (or at least are the causes of this non-story).

I listed (as part of that comment) a sprinkiling of "our" female bloggers and said that they have never felt the need to play the gender card, "…and no-one with integrity ever would".

That should get a result! I'll go and check on the state of the comments thread after lunch.

Great blog, like the posts, very thoughtful, introspective!

I have come across an India SEO expert who is good and reasonably priced. Check him out. Ravi Kumar
