I'm collecting for a plane ticket for Joan Smith.

Joan Smith (Guardian writer and latest squeeze of Labour MP Dennis McShane) has got to be going for the vacuous bint of the year award. What a complete and utter load of bollocks she has come out with. She most definitely does not get it. She says she is sick of her country, but I'm pretty sure that it is the other way around.

Apparently she is "sick of my country and this hysteria over MPs"

Click HERE and be amazed just how out of touch someone can be. She is getting a real and deserved kicking in the comments - how frightful it must be for her - never mind eh.

UPDATE: I had to laugh at the title of one of her books: How to End the Abuse of Money and Power in the 21st Century.

I'll definitely chip in!
What an idiot - by what she's saying anyone'd think she was already living in a different country!

"In this uniquely poisonous atmosphere, years of conscientious public service count for nothing; . ."

It's the fact that the 'conscientious public service' has been wanting over the years that is the problem!

I'm sure the likes of Ryanair would give her a freebie to somewhere warm - the middle east perhaps.

I find Joan Smith's hypocrisy disgraceful. It's OK for her to "monster" members of the Royal Family in her Guardian columns, and to target them "of a degree of vitrioli disproportionate to any offence they are deemed to have caused", but how dare others humiliate "decent" folks like her Labour MP husband and his ilk. To get some sense of Ms Smith's hypocrisy (and stupidity), here she is on Princes William and Harry: "the character and behaviour of Princes William and Harry would render them almost comically unsuitable candidates for the role of head of state. They are disqualified by their snobbery, their sense of entitlement, and their spendthrift attitude to public money – not to mention the fact that they're not very bright". Here's another Joan Smith anti-Royal Family diatribe: "All the bronze statues in the world cannot conceal the fact that the nation's favourite granny was an unashamed bigot". As the saying goes, "people who live in chateaux, shouldn't throw tomateaux". I wish Ms Smith would shut up!
