Another Man (Brent Martin) Is Beaten To Death By Kids On Our Streets.

Brent Martin
Brent Martin, a 23 year old man with learning difficulties, described by police as vulnerable, was beaten to death by a gang of youths on Thursday. Brent was taken to Sunderland's City Hospital where he died from his injuries on Saturday.

According to the police, Brent had received a "sustained and brutal" beating. Det Supt Kay Blyth, said: "I would appeal to parents in the area to think about what their children were doing last night. Did they come in late and were acting out of the ordinary? Did they fail to come home at all?"

If these kids are capable of acting like savage animals at such a young age, what are they going to be like as adults? Let's get something clear, 12 months in PlayStation prison will not rehabilitate this scum - They need locking up for a very long time. If they are allowed back on our streets any time soon they will without doubt re-offend and it will send the worst kind of message to those of the same mentality.

Our prisons are full because we keep sending the same scum back there, we could save ourselves a lot of time and money by not letting them out in the first place.

Brent martin of watford close sunderland was kicked in the head and not to mention how they stripped all of his clothes off him and left him in the street.

IT TOOK 30 MINUTES FOR THE AMBULANCE TO COME, AND WHEN HE WAS TAKEN TO THE A+E THEY LEFT HIM FOR 2 HOURS IN THE CORRIDOR AS IF HE WAS ANOTHER DRUNK THAT HAD BEEN BASHED UP. it was only 2 hours later that the NHS staff realised he was not another drunk, but that he had taken a beating to his head and needed to be moved to ICCU.

This is the lie the liberal elite keep regurgitating about prison. "Our jails are full"; "we send too many people to jail"; "jail doesn't work".

They are full with too many people, because they pose no deterrent against breaking the law and re-offending. Jail certainly DOES work, otherwise no sane person would pay there TV and Council Tax. Jail doesn't work, when a person gets a 10 day suspended sentence for kicking somebody to death and carrying an Uzi.

Anon,

Thanks for the extra information on this disgusting but all too familiar incident. Brent was let down that night by so many parts of our society.

Regards

Steve

Harry,

I could not agree more. Prison should be about breaking rocks on a diet of bread and water. God! I cannot explain in words how much I hate the Liberals that have ruined this country. I don't know who is more to blame: Liberal campaigners or the incompetent idiots in power that listened to them.

I'm going to have a large drink and take some deep breaths while it is still legal.

My main reasons for wanting 'proper' enforcement of the law, perhaps including corporal and capital punishment, is because without it a moral and political vacuum is created - which will eventually be filled by chaps wearing Swastikas, NKVD armbands, and Taliban good conduct medals. I know we've touched on this subject before, but I would prefer a harsher regime and zero tolerance within a parliamentary democracy.

Harry,

That's exactly the point I was trying to make when I wrote the post:

We have to act now to avoid a backlash that could shame us all.

This is just the same thing that happens over and over again.. For what happened to Brent Martin is very sad indeed and like someone said he has been let down by everyone the people who caused this and also the ones who caused the death of little Rhy Jones the 11 years old should be locked up for life... But I do believe that the death Penalty should be brought back because now they can prove who ever caused the Murder.. SO IF THEY ARE PROVEN THEN THE DEATH PENALTY SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT...

Casper,

If it could be proved 100% that someone was guilty, then I would say hang them.

What I would do is change the way we sentence criminals. Instead of being sentenced to 10 years and being let out early for good behaviour - They should do 10 years minimum and do longer if they misbehave.

I don't understand that about the A & E them leaving Brent for 2 hours before they helped him. They had to put sawdust down in the street to mop up the blood. Where was his uncle Norman, he should have been at the hospital with him, he covered him with a blanket in the street. He would have told them Brent had been badly beaten and was not drunk.
