UPDATE: The Unions have voted in favour of a call for a referendum on the EU treaty.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. It is not looking good for Gordon is it?. You've got to admire Tony Blair's political savvy, he knew the exact moment when the kitchen was getting a little too hot. One person who does not posses Blair's foresight is the Minger (Ming Campbell) who has said he will not back calls for a referendum. How much notice the LibDems will take of the meaningless one I don't know, but if I was a guessing man, I would say - not much.
Tony Blair was lucky enough to be Prime Minister when the people of this country seemed to be in a slumber. Gordon Brown is going to get our full attention.
