Local Elections - Go out and vote Conservative.

It really does matter. Even if you live in an area where the Conservatives have historically not done very well in your local elections - you'd be surprised how many people are feeling like you. This is a chance to send a message to Gordon Brown and his party that enough is enough. Enough of being denied a vote on the Lisbon Treaty. Enough of colossal incompetence across many government departments. Enough of massive tax increases. Enough of throwing money at public services without any results. Enough of the nanny state. Enough of intrusions into our privacy. Enough of poor education standards. Enough of closing our A&E wards. Enough of closing our maternity wards. Enough of closing our Post Offices. Enough of dirty hospitals. Enough of overcrowded prisons. Enough of underfunding our Armed forces. Enough of crushing national debt. Enough of fudging inflation figures. Enough of the welfare state. Enough of uncontrolled immigration. Enough of the police being stuck behind desks. Enough of taxing the low paid and thinking you can get away with it.

Enough of Brown. Enough of dithering. Enough of Labour. Enough of incompetence.

Enough. Enough. Enough.

Get out there and vote CONSERVATIVE. You know it makes sense.

It is infinitely better than Labour.

Extremely well put Steve and I think you are right, many, many people who normally avoid the subject of politics altogether are expressing anger and/or are fed up with Labour. The end is in sight for the worst bunch of ideologically motivated charlatans ever to govern this once proud nation.

James,

I have a good feeling about today.

Sean,

Cheers. I think people have got to the stage where they will go out to vote just to let Brown know how they feel.

No posters... no cars with PA systems chased by kids... no spotty Young Conservatives and Socialists asking granny if she wants a lift to the polling station... no pollsters waiting outside the meeting hall to tell to bugger off... and a virtual news blackout. How things have changed in the last 20 years as democracy is wound down.

Hookie predicts Labour and Ken will do better than expected so all parties can claim a victory... and Robert Mugabe will become Mayor of London after releasing video footage of the Tube bombing to coincide with elections.

You and a lot of other people of all political persusions and none, do our democracy no favours by encouraging the use of local elections to pass judgement on the national government and the national issuea of the day. Local Elections should be about local issues that can be addressed and dealt with by local people. In fact it wou;ld be better if national politicians and commentators, such as yourself, kept their noses. faces and voices out of it alltogether

I didn't get a chance to vote for Gordon Brown. I have been refused a vote on the Lisbon Treaty. Brown bottled the election because he knew he would lose. I and many others have only these local elections to make our voices heard.
