Wendy Alexander to step down as Scottish Labour leader.

From the BBC:

Scottish Labour leader Wendy Alexander is expected to announce she will stand down, the BBC understands.
So that is one Labour leader down and one to go. Wendy has realised that she has damaged the party and caused it embarrassment - when will Gordon Brown realise that he is just as bad, if not worse. Rumour has it that Wendy may also stand down as MSP for Paisley North. Wendy won the seat with a 22% (5,113 votes) majority in the 2007 Scottish Parliament Elections, so it will take a massive swing for the SNP to grab Paisley North from Labour - though under the current political climate an SNP win is far from impossible.

UPDATE: Wendy has stepped down as leader of the Labour Party, but will not be stepping down as the MSP for Paisley North.
