Bob Quick aims wild corruption claims at the Conservatives.

I've heard some wild claims in my time, but the following from Bob Quick (Britain's anti-terror chief) takes the biscuit:

"It [story HERE] is an attempt to undermine an investigation which is legitimate. The Tory machinery and their press friends are mobilised against this investigation in a wholly corrupt way, and I feel very disappointed in the country I am living in. "I think it is a very spiteful act, possibly to intimidate me away from investigating Mr Green, and I feel it has put my family at risk."
I suggest that Bob stops reading those spy novels, and gets some "help" while he's at it.

He obviously knows this has stopped him from getting Blair's job once and for all, so he's trying to kick out at the Tories for him being an idiot. This is, of course, the Labour toadie who begged Jacqui Smith for 42 days as well.

It says much for the story that it was only published (as far as I know)in the Loughborough Echo.
Anyone would think, he was the head of MI5. For God's sake he is a copper.

Still - resign. You don't get to make party political points as a policeman.

It shows absolutely appalling judgement by Quick to make such wild claims. This is probably the final nail in the coffin that is the Damian Green investigation. Thanks to Quick the Met could not now be considered to be objective.
