Conservative blogger's (and friends) get-together Tomorrow!

This is your final reminder for the Conservative blogger's (and friends) get-together (excuse for a piss up). We will be meeting up in St Stephen's Tavern, Westminster (opposite Big Ben) tomorrow at 1200 (Saturday the 30th May).

This is an informal do, not a any kind of strategy meeting. It's called a Conservative blogger's piss up but it is open to anyone really - other bloggers and those who visit and leave comments (the important people).

I hope that those who have shown interest can still make it, it would be great to be able to put faces to names. Also, it should be a good day out if you fancy a bit of sightseeing. You will be sat 20 yards from Big Ben, you are also within a short walk to the London Eye, Westminster Palace, the Abbey, Trafalgar Square, The Palace, a few of the top museums, Downing Street and a host of other points of interest.

This should be a great day out for a bit of a laugh, a drink and possibly a bit of culture if that's your bag (man). See you there!

P.s Can you leave a comment if you are able to make it.

Cheers Steve.

Those indicating that they would like to attend (so far):

I've never been to London, is it scary?

Daily Referendum said...

Dame Sybil,

No the streets are pathed with Gold. Though you must watch out for pick pockets - or MPs as they call them now.

Steve - would have loved to come along as I have recently been following this blog and I would have been probably the only welsh tory there. However, as my better half is canvassing all day and I am left literally holding the baby. make sure to organise another one soon.

James Higham said...

All the best to you lads and lasses. If Andrew Alison was there, I could give him a call.

I'd like to try and make it too.

I think I may have met some of you at the freedom of expression rally in 2005, I've been known under a few different guises on interwebs.

Steve, been following your tweets for a while now, didn't realise I hadn't blogrolled you! Not that I get much traffic now I rarely blog...

Daily Referendum said...

Be good to see you Marvin. We might even get to watch some of the football.

Tony said...

Looking good at this end Steve.

Daily Referendum said...

Simon Emmett said...

I Should be there too

Daily Referendum said...

See you there Simon. The weather is supposed to be good on Saturday.

Jackart said...

Can I bring a pet leftie?

Daily Referendum said...

Jackart,

Everyone is welcome, even disillusioned lefties who can't admit to themselves that they should be voting Tory (yet).

See you Saturday.

Well you've never heard of me or my girlfriend, but we're coming (assuming you're not all going to be locked in a private function room).

We'll be the loyalists skulking in the corner too shy to say hi :-)

Andy,

It will be good to see you. It's not a formal meeting, just a bit of a laugh. Hardly any of us have met before so we are all in the same boat.

See you soon.
