You will be amazed at how well preserved the road is in places. Walk a road laid almost 2000 years ago. A stunning 12mile circular walk around Bolderwood and Emery Down. This a great walk for wildlife, actually saw a white Fallow Deer Buck on this walk. Parking is free in the Bolderwood Car Park, though there is a facility to make a small donation if you have any change on you. The Car Park can be found off of Bolderwood Arboretum Ornamental Drive (my sat nav recognised this). A very nice lunch can be had at the New Forest Inn (half way point).

(This is a route led by Julian of the Meon Ramblers) A circular route around Shepherds Down, Corhampton and Meonstoke. Parking on the grass verge at 5-ways junction on Shepherds Down. An easy walk with one incline to get the pulse going. Many great views and points of interest, including a beautiful Saxon Church. Refreshments can be had at the Bucks Head Pub in the old village of Meonstoke.

The walk starts in the free car park adjacent Fort Brockhurst. The route goes around the fort's moat and then leads on to Monks Walk by the sea. From there it's a short walk to Priddys Hard, where you follow the sea front promenade to the Explosion Museum Of Naval Firepower (cafe stop). Walking through the museum grounds leads you to the Millennium Bridge and great views of Portsmouth Harbour (Warships). Over the bridge and you are into the historic and beautifully restored Royal Clarence Marina where you can find the odd wine bar e.t.c. The route back is slightly different, but no less enjoyable.

A circular route of Meonstoke, via Droxford and Shepherd's Copse. The walk starts out from the Bucks head car park and soon takes you into some beautiful undulating countryside. This is one hell of a surprising walk. Shingle beach, woods, meadow, gorse, a river, a canal, a beautiful fishing pond, a water nature reserve, sea views, historic Naval buildings (and a mysterious 25 foot high concrete mushroom) - this is a real hidden gem of a walk - the only thing missing is an hill or two. I realised that this route resembled Britain after I uploaded it - hence the name. I think my favourite part of the walk is in the Newcastle area.
