I wonder if Eric Pickles will bring this up on Question Time tonight? If not David Dimbleby probably will, he likes to stir it a bit. 75% of those polled are dissatisfied with Brown's performance. How long can he hang on?

Conservatives - 20 point lead in Sunday Times YouGov Poll

From the Sunday Times:

The latest YouGov poll for the Sunday Times makes depressing reading for Gordon Brown ahead of the coming week’s key by-election test in Crewe & Nantwich. The Tories have a 20-point national poll lead, up from 16 a month ago. Labour is on just 25% of the vote (down 2), with the Tories at 45% (up 2) and the Liberal Democrats on 18%, also up 2. David Cameron is beginning to move towards the kind of poll leads that Tony Blair enjoyed before his landslide victory in 1997.

What I'm pleased to see from this Poll is that Gordon Brown's tax bribe failed to come off - 47% say it was a cynical ploy ahead of the by-election. 69% of voters say Brown is not up to the job and 59% say he should step down before the next election. Any of the cheering Labour MPs at Darling's tax announcement last week will not be too happy today.

The people have seen through them.

Conservatives on 44 points in YouGov Poll.

Not much to say on this. Apart from it had to happen. Gordon Brown is fast becoming an embarrassment to this country - we are becoming a laughing stock. This latest YouGov survey for the Sunday Times is not going to help close the cracks appearing in the Labour party.

Gordon Brown's popularity is unbelievably low by modern standards. Will we be hearing chants of "Tony, Tony, Tony, in, in, in" from the Labour party faithful?

Conservatives command a 14 point lead over Labour (YouGov Poll).

As confidence in Gordon Brown's ability to manage the economy (and Darling's I suppose) drops like a very large stony thing, the Conservatives have polled at least 40% for the last six months. The Lib Dems are hovering around the mid-teens (no pun intended). And if Nick Clegg does not whip his Peers to abstain from the vote for a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, then I can see that reducing drastically. I don't think it will be long before we see a 20 point gap between the Conservatives and Labour (45-25). Could we see a decade of Labour and the Lib Dems fighting it out for second position?

This poll would give David Cameron and his MPs a 100 seat majority in the house of commons. And that is what is probably needed to reverse the mess this Labour government have got us into. Of all the questions asked by YouGov in this poll, maybe this will be the most damaging to Gordon Brown:

YouGov Poll gives Conservatives 16 point lead over Labour.

A YouGov poll for today's Sunday Times has given the Conservatives their biggest lead over Labour in the last twenty five. The Conservatives are on 43%, Labour, 27% and the LibDems are on 16%. You may have noticed that this 16 point lead puts the Conservatives on the same points as Labour and the LibDems combined. It would also give a Conservative government an 120 seat majority in parliament.

What I find amazing is that most of the media and the blogs put this down to Alistair Darling's budget. There's hardly any mention of last week's referendum vote. I'm sure the government's betrayal of the public had something to do with this result, and I can't understand why the media haven't picked this up. If I were to guess, I would say that the budget has not sunk in yet and the next set of polls will be even worse for Labour. What seems clear is that the LibDems have not picked up any of the Labour losses, this could also be down to their pathetic stance over the Lisbon Treaty.

Telegraph YouGov poll says 60% are dissatisfied with Gordon Brown.

The latest Telegraph You Gov poll is going to be terrible reading for Gordon Brown. The Conservatives are on 43% with Labour only 31%. Nick Clegg’s LibDems have increased their standing by 2 points taking them to 16%.

What will be really hard to swallow is the fact that Gordon's approval rating is now as low as John Major's was in his last month in government - 60% of people are now dissatisfied with the Prime Minister. Not long now surely?
