On a personal note: It's a boy!

My wife Tracy had her 20 week scan on Friday. After having three girls it was a great surprise to be told we are going to have a boy! He's going to be named Freddie after my wife's father who we lost a little while ago.
I'm not too sure how happy he will be about his wobbly bits appearing on the internet before he is even born.

Hi Steve, Brilliant picture for embarrasing him when he brings home girlfiends. I had three boys before having my daughter so have an idea how you feel.

Hi Kate,

We were supposed to be stopping at the second girl, but these things have a way of happening:)

A boy after three girls! This is going to be an interesting ride for your family.
Chuck out everything you've learned so far.
Congratulations

JMB,

Yeah, all the girls are excited. I think he's going to spoilt.

I've got 3 boys and 1 girl. Stopping now.

Wonko,

Please tell me that teenage boys are less trouble than teenage girls. I could quite cheerfully strangle my eldest two.

Mine are 9, 7, 5 and 3 years old. The eldest has already turned into a stroppy teenager - it's like a rehearsal for Kevin and Perry Go Large here sometimes.

I don't envy you with teenage girls. My girl is the youngest and she's more than a handful already.

Wonko,

You've been lucky having them so close together. Every time we have one I have to fork out for all new stuff. The girls are 20, 15 & 7.

Like I said, we were supposed to be stopping 15 years ago. I'll be working forever at this rate.

Congratulations to you both. Before I read what you said underneath the scan, Becky, who next year will be training as a radiographer, said to me, 'You know what that looks like.'

I'm sure Freddie is among a select band, appearing like that on the internet before he is born.

Thanks Andrew,

It's amazing what they can do nowadays, you get a DVD of the scan as well as pictures.

Cracking picture Steve and congratulations to you and your wife. We have one 17 month old at home and that's tiring enough - so you think it's hard to find time to blog now..?!

All the best.

Cheers Cassilis,

It's amazing that at the last scan (two weeks ago) which was free, they couldn't tell us the sex of our baby. But at this scan which cost me £100, it took about two seconds. I think the scanner (or is it a scammer?)must work better in the presence of money.

Congratulations Steve, though I'm sure he'll hate you for putting him on the web in such an intimate way.

The poor little devil is already a porn star and he's not even born.

Mr Gruff,

My wife said I did it out of jealousy.

Well done mate, and all the best to your better half, but dear, oh dear oh dear... I was out mending fences (that's real ones, not metaphoric ones) with my Dad and my brother in law. We made light work of it, and my Dad joked that he should have had three boys instead of a girl and a boy. I pointed out that he would then have to go through 3 teenage lads growing up. His face went very pale, and he decided it wasn't worth the effort.....

Cheers James,

I think freddie will be a good name. It's a fun name.

HH,

Oh God, ah well, after three girls I'm an hard boiled egg. I hope.

Cheers DK,

Of course, I will have to wet the baby's head - tradition and all that:)

Well done Steve! We will have to wet the lad's head at the appointed time.

Tony,

Thanks and you're on.
