Blunkett is hoping that the country will forget its current disillusionment with our Labour Government when voting in the Local elections in May. I'm sure there are a good number of Labour councillors who are hoping for just that. To be honest it's not likely is it? We are fed up with Gordon Brown and his incompetent government and that will be reflected in a disastrous day for Labour Councils.

I'm betting that the percentage of people who vote on local issues in local elections is pretty small.

I totally agree. I think Brown is in for a bashing by proxy.
I predict a turnout below 30% and Labour's share below 30% of that. What's that then- 10% of the electorate turning out to vote Labour.
